Personally, I don't encounter any difficulties transitioning between a HHKB and a standard ANSI-layout full keyboard. The diamond-shaped arrow keys are a non-issue when navigating your cursor when typing, but it becomes a problem if you're working overtime on spreadsheets or in RTS games.
